![]() Use him in place of where you would normally put a barracks.Īlric is a great all around hero. Tips: Upgrade his boars and health first, then go for the other abilities. He also has a stampede that stuns and damages all enemies in the lane which can be useful. You can forgo barracks with Cronan on a lane - allowing you to use other towers or use $$ to upgrade other towers instead of spending on barracks. He has two boars that will block, and his health is pretty darn good so he can block for a long time, tanking pretty well - with incredible health regeneration. When something makes it through, hopefully his Disintegrate is charged up & ready to go.Ĭrowd Control & Tanking: These heros either have great Area of Effect (AOE) or can block signficant numbers of creeps and with the exception of Ashbite, can tank pretty darn well.Ĭronan is my favorite. Tips: Nivus has a long range, so keep him back from the action and let him do his damage. I have a hard time counting on Disintegrate and am always surpised / happy when it fires. Nivus - He's the weakest of the assasins, but his standard attack with magic missiles is pretty strong, so he's useful without assasin ability, Disintegrate. I use him to whittle down enemies to 25% health and then refocus him on other enemies. Tips: He takes a long time to take down something and his crowd control will kick in, allowing what he is tanking to start moving, so you may have to reposition him again. So you can tank him, then move him out a bit to heal and then back into the fray. Not only can he hit lots of smaller creeps, but he tanks pretty well and the best is he heals quickly. Move him out of the action to charge it up, then move him in on the bigger creeps to hopefully take them out. Tips: His abduction ability is timed about 20-30 seconds. I've found him to be very fun on those maps with a lot of Brutes because even 1 or 2 of these abducted can make the level so much easier. ![]() With a crowd, it's a dice roll which creeps he abducts, so how big of a enemy he grabs will have you laughing maniacally or crying in frustration. Abduction needs to be maxxed out to be able to abduct the Saurian Brutes. Sha' Tra has an ability, Abduction, that can make the levels with many of the Saurian Brute's a cakewalk, as if you can time it right, he can abduct these pretty easily, particularly when they are walking alone. With her range, she has to be a long way away from the action to heal, so you're going to be micro'ing her quite a bit. If you have her 1:1 with a larger enemy, she's pretty squishy, so try one backstab and if it isn't successful, focus her on another smaller creep. At level 10, she will bounce around, killing large swaths and basically creating mayhem. Her backstab ability has a chance to take down any large armored creep as well. She is amazing with large groups of weaker creeps, eliminating them so your towers will focus their fire on the big dudes. As you really don't have control over who she attacks, and she is kind of squishy, you need to be careful playing with her. It's typically very expensive, but this is where you really take advantage of them, so level it up first before going for the other abilities. General tips: Upgrade their assassin / kill ability. This requires special placement / movement.Īssassins: These are heros that can take out creeps without any help. Special Abilities: These are more advanced heros that really require you to play to their strengths to be successful. I personally like The Underpass as the best and the Dark Descent second - It's all about how much damage the hero can do.įor this guide, I'm going to break the heros down into:Īssassins: These are heros that can take out creeps without any helpĬrowd Control & Tanking: These heros either have great Area of Effect (AOE) or can block signficant numbers of creeps. ![]() Leveling heros is faster on the more difficult maps. You need to pay attention and re-target them. Adding in support troops / barracks, the game thinks it's doing you a favor and will pair each block with an enemy - and this sometimes means that your hero will get pulled off the target you initially put them on. The problem with Heros is they don't always go after who you want them to. ![]() Do you want a hero that you can just place on a chokepoint & forget, or do you want to be moving around, engaging and assasinating the tougher opponents? You probably have a playstyle that you prefer - and hopefully you can find the hero that matches it. Each has abilities which will give great benefit if you utilize it correctly. Rather, how you play a hero to their strengths and weaknesses is what is important. I'm not into a specific hero nor do I think any hero is the best. ![]()
